Countable nouns – Μετρήσιμα ουσιαστικά

English: Countable nouns are things we can count: one apple, two apples.

Uncountable nouns – Μη μετρήσιμα ουσιαστικά

English: Uncountable nouns are things we do not usually count one by one. We use some.

a / an / some

English: Use a before consonant sounds, an before vowel sounds, and some for plural or uncountable nouns.

How many / How much

English: Use How many with countable plural nouns and How much with uncountable nouns or price.

Ελληνικά: Το How many ρωτάει πόσα μετρήσιμα πράγματα. Το How much ρωτάει ποσότητα ή τιμή.

Recipe imperatives – Οδηγίες συνταγής

English: Recipes use the imperative: start with the verb.

Ελληνικά: Στις συνταγές δίνουμε οδηγίες με το ρήμα στην αρχή.

  • Wash the fruit.
  • Cut the banana.
  • Add some yoghurt.
  • Mix the salad.
