Habits and Customs

1. Present Simple – affirmative

English: Use Present Simple for everyday routines and habits. With I / you / we / they, use the verb without -s. With he / she / it, add -s or -es.

Ελληνικά: Χρησιμοποιούμε Present Simple για καθημερινές συνήθειες. Με he / she / it προσθέτουμε συνήθως -s στο ρήμα.

2. Negatives: don’t / doesn’t

English: Use don’t with I / you / we / they. Use doesn’t with he / she / it. After doesn’t, the verb has no -s.

Ελληνικά: Στην άρνηση βάζουμε don’t ή doesn’t. Μετά το doesn’t, το ρήμα επιστρέφει στην απλή μορφή.

3. Questions: Do / Does…?

English: Use Do with I / you / we / they. Use Does with he / she / it. Short answers: Yes, I do. / No, she doesn’t.

Ελληνικά: Στις ερωτήσεις χρησιμοποιούμε Do ή Does. Σύντομες απαντήσεις: Yes, I do. / No, she doesn’t.

4. Adverbs of frequency

English: Frequency words show how often something happens. They usually go before the main verb: I always brush my teeth. With be, they go after the verb: She is usually happy.

Ελληνικά: Οι λέξεις συχνότητας δείχνουν πόσο συχνά γίνεται κάτι. Συνήθως μπαίνουν πριν από το κύριο ρήμα.
