Oral communication

  • Teacher models with gesture and pupils repeat naturally.
  • Pair work: one pupil asks or shows, the other answers.
  • Short class performance: 20 seconds per pair/group.

Warm-up chant

Use the icon/theme. Children repeat the key words with rhythm, clap and gesture.

Flashcard circle

Show 8–10 cards first. Pupils say English, Greek meaning, then a gesture.

Game time

  • Room mime: one child mimes sleeping, reading, opening a door; the class says the word.
  • Furniture corners: teacher says bed/desk/window and pupils move to picture corners.
  • Draw and tell: pupils draw a tiny room and say two sentences.

Craft / drawing

Pupils draw, label or make a mini object connected with the activity, then present it in English.

Pair speaking

Use the phrases. Keep it short, musical and successful for shy pupils.

Exit ticket

Each child says one word and one tiny sentence before leaving the circle.
