Vocabulary exercises
Ask a classmate 8 questions and write short answers.
Walk around the class and find names.
Choose 10 things for a summer holiday suitcase. Use the words from the vocabulary.
Match the words to the story: fairy, cat, cow, farm, fridge, magic wand, milk, cheese.
Put the story moments in a good order.
Write 5 sentences about yourself. Do not write your name. The class guesses who you are.
Example: I like basketball. I have got a sister. My favourite colour is blue.
Grammar Corner
English: We use question words to ask for information.
Ελληνικά: Με τις ερωτηματικές λέξεις ζητάμε συγκεκριμένες πληροφορίες.
English: Use short clear sentences to talk about yourself.
Ελληνικά: Για να παρουσιάσουμε τον εαυτό μας, χρησιμοποιούμε μικρές καθαρές προτάσεις.
English: Use have got with I/you/we/they and has got with he/she/it.
Ελληνικά: Το χρησιμοποιούμε για να πούμε τι έχουμε ή τι έχει κάποιος.
English: Use can for abilities and can’t when we cannot do something.
Ελληνικά: Το can δείχνει τι μπορούμε να κάνουμε.
English: Use Present Simple for habits, likes and facts. Add -s with he/she/it.
Ελληνικά: Το χρησιμοποιούμε για συνήθειες, προτιμήσεις και γενικές πληροφορίες. Στο he/she/it βάζουμε συνήθως -s.
English: A story has a beginning, a middle and an ending. Use simple sentences and time words.
Ελληνικά: Μια ιστορία έχει αρχή, μέση και τέλος. Χρησιμοποιούμε απλές προτάσεις και λέξεις χρόνου.
Extra grammar practice
Use the sentence starters and write 8-10 sentences.
Choose one ending and write 5-7 sentences.
Project
